Get ready for the 2023 snow season with the Annual St Ben's Snow trip at Mt Buller
11th - 13th August 2023
Two and a half fun filled days of fun sport and friendship! The trip begins on Friday evening at dinner on the mountain (venue TBA). This is a great time to get to know each other and discuss our plans for the weekend. The group is made of skiers and snowboarders of all abilities and we'll be skiing/riding on Saturday and Sunday. Beginners are most welcome! Typically we break into groups of abilities and cruise about the mountain and then meet for breaks and lunches throughout the day.
This trip is very flexible. Come for all days of a portion of it. On Saturday evening, we'll celebrate Mass at the Alpine Chapel at 6:30pm.
There are two options. You can stay on the mountain or off mountain in Mansfield or Merrijig.
If you'd like to share a room, let us know and we can help pair you up. Accomodation Prices range from $385 - 580 per person for Two nights.

Go to the Mt buller website www.mtbuller.com.au/Winter/ to purchase lift passes and lessons if required. Purchasing ahead of time is a little cheaper and guarantees the ticket. Last season got pretty crowded so tickets ran out a few days before. Once tickets/lessons have been purchased online, physical tickets are picked up at Mt Buller on the day.
You can hire ski gear (jackets/boots/helmet/skis/boards etc) at Mt Buller or Merrijig and Mansfield. If you're new to the sport, hiring on Mountain is more convenient for exchanges if the fit isn't right. Ski Hires can also be booked ahead of time on the Mt Buller website see "rentals".
Don't feel like driving? You can find direct bus options here :
https://www.mtbuller.com.au/Winter/plan-your-visit/getting-here/coach
There is a fee to enter the mountain, and you MUST carry chains. If chains are needed when driving, there are places that you will be pulled over in order to put the chains on. Chains can be hired in Merrijig, or almost any town from Mansfield. When you hire the chains, they'll show you how they are put onto the tyres.
Please purchase the mountain entry pass at least the day before, as there is a significant discount in doing so.
